3 quotes from When Breath Becomes Air

  • "Even if I were to live a few more years, I would still have to face the fact that my prognosis was not good. This was my first lesson: that when I ended my training, I would carry the burden of not just my illness but the fragility of life itself. "
  • "I realized that the most important thing was not the quantity of my life but the quality. The opportunity to tell my story and make a difference in others' lives became my real purpose."
  • "There is a time for everything. There is a time for exploration, a time for acceptance; there is a time to fight, and there is a time to find peace in what is. The journey of life is beyond mere existence; it is about the meaning we create."
